Writer/Director
Jon Kane Rothstein
Jon has lived with narcolepsy for 17 years and has worked in film/TV for 12 years (big fan of exhaustion), and has finally run out of reasons not to direct.
Born & raised in Bucks County, PA, Jon studied at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. After a failed attempt to drop out and bus tables back home, he was hired as a Film Unit intern and production assistant with Saturday Night Live and started a career in production.
He graduated with a degree in Filmmaking & Dramatic Writing, spent 8 years in live-action production, then four years in VFX, design, animation & film trailer production.
Jacqueline Carney
Knock Yourself Out is Jacqueline’s first foray as an executive producer, representing a meaningful new chapter post-medical career. Her continued, passionate support of the film fuels the filming process.
Executive Producer
Dr. Carney spent her career in healthcare as a pediatric dentist & dental anesthesiologist, known for her leadership, clinical excellence, and compassion for her patients, prior to retiring due to narcolepsy.
Jacqueline lends the same leadership and compassion embodied throughout her medical career to the creative collaboration & production of this film.
