I’ve lived with narcolepsy for 17 years now.

It’s invisible to most people, but it just might be the most defining & deciding force in my life. The simplest acts - working, socializing, staying awake - are extremely difficult, and often the result is failure.

Living with this specific neurological disorder while trying to accomplish things often feels like a clash between unstoppable will and the immovable reality of disease..

This story grew out of the desperation just to get some improvement with an incurable condition…

Knock Yourself Out is not a disease-of-the-week movie, or a clean portrayal of disability/illness. It’s a dizzying, darkly comedic story of desperation that rapidly descends towards danger.
